I found this iron key when visiting my ancestors village. How old could it be?

I visit my Yiayia and Papou (grandparents) every couple of summers in Greece. While they choose to move down into the city now, we still own some land in a small Greek village way up in the mountains called Tsamantas which is in Epirus, Greece. This is the village where my ancestors (as far back as anyone can remember) are from. One summer while I was visiting this village I was walking around the oldest part of the property just exploring. I was climbing over what is left of the oldest house(stone hut) on the property which is now just rubble overgrown with moss and trees. I spotted something interesting and reached down and found an old key sticking out of what was left of a door/lock. It appears to be iron and is very worn and bent. I am guessing it might be 100-200 ish years old maybe even older. How old could it possibly be? When did they invent iron skeleton keys like this in Greece? That house has been rubble for at least 50-75 years already so I know the key has to be at least 100 years old I would say. Anyway, any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. It already amazes me to think about how many of my ancestors have touched this over the years. Here is a picture of the key, I added the rope to it.

Now that I’ve started researching it and upon closer inspection I don’t think it is iron. Maybe brass or copper
