What is the difference between the Soviet "Deep Battle" doctrine and the German "Blitzkrieg" doctrine? Just from reading the Wikipedia article, Deep Battle/Operations just seems to be a different name for the Blitzkrieg practiced by the Soviets.

I guess I would amend my response a little bit for the second one: The British were not the first to actually use the word "Blitzkrieg", it did show up in very occasional German writings before the war, but it was used more as a concept for a war than as a doctrine for operations. The British press then took the word and mis-applied it.
