I recently accepted a job in New Mexico teaching history at a small school but I was ask to teach New Mexican history in addition to u.s. history Which is my specialty. I am from Texas and I'm not familiar with the subject I was wondering if someone can recommend me some books for familiarizing myself with the topic?
Hey there! You might want to try resubmitting this thread with your request (New Mexico history) directly in the title.
Additionally, our Thursday Reading & Research thread (which will be stickied to the top of the sub main page on...SHOCKER...Thursday) is a good place to ask for book recommendations.
I'm not familiar with the subject personally, but, if University of New Mexico or New Mexico State University has a Press, it should publish a bunch of New Mexico books. (This is true for other states and their flagship unis, at any rate.)
