The answer is no, there were none or at least they were such isolated cases that their memory did not survive to this day. Nehama in his opus on the Jews of Thessalonikj, the most important Jewish community of the Ottoman Empire and at some point the biggest Jewish urban city in the world, does not mention any case.

Among historians there is no certain explanation as to why but only speculations. The fact that the devshirme was limited to rural areas and excluded cities and craftsmen played its role. Perhaps Jews, who mainly were Sephardic who had emigrated wilfully to the Empire and enjoyed extra protections than their Romaniote counterparts of byzantine origin, were spared because of these extra protections although this does not account for the safe passage of the Romaniote.
