When/why did humans start wearing clothing covering their private parts?

I understand why people wore clothing for warmth purposes, but it always fascinated me why humans made the shift to be unaccepting of public genitalia displays.

After the Church said nudity was bad. Either that, or the place where you lived in was too cold for it. The Greeks, Egyptians and Japanese were known for it. It was mainly a show of strength and health.
