How was German reunification received in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland? Did it have any significant effect on the public opinion concerning Irish reunification in either country?

None really. Germany was a country divided by external forces (allies and Soviets). There was no ethnic tension between west and east germans. There is an "ethnic" divide in nortgern ireland between catholics and protestants, and between the protestants of the north who regard the republic of ireland as a "foreign" country.
