I’d say he gives a very one sided perspective in his historical books. He tends to brush over very important details because they don’t fit with the narrative he his is building. I would say he is more of a propagandist than a historian, but most of the facts he gives are true, just lacking massive amounts of context. Also some of his writings have led me to believe he his a pretty virulent racist. If you are looking for a very right wing perspective on history that can be pretty negative towards pretty much all racial and ethnic groups that aren’t WASP slave owners then I’d say he’s worth a read. If not there are much better sources on ever topic he has written about.
