A tobacco pipe with a cover indeed exist. This kind of cover was designed especially for smoking outdoor ie cover protect tobacco from moisure and wind making smoking more comfortable and make smoking more concealed after dark (hence, at least in my country, they are called hunters pipes due to fact that animals can't saw a pipe fire which could scare them).
