Ernst Gombrich's title is meant for young readers, but i think that might mean it has more images etc. (Not certain so check).

German title is "Eine kurze Weltgeschichte für junge Leser: Von der Urzeit bis zur Gegenwart", Engl translation will be something like 'A Short History of the World for young readers'
