What is the meaning and origin of the two slang terms? The context suggests that the author of the study finds them inappropriate (thus the NSFW tag). I am asking because I am looking through the journal for instances where anti-intolerance and democracy education are associated.
Are you sure they aren't phonetic spellings of "ringing" and "curly"? That's what I gather from the small section you've posted. It seems that the author is pointing out the absurdity of teaching very refined pronunciation of certain words while pupils retain "low class" pronunciations of other words.
