There is no archeological evidence suggesting that Exodus has a historical basis. I suggest you go over this discussion between me and /u/Flubb which I think is a great example of both the biblical criticism approach taken by /u/Flubb and the more logistical and archeological approach taken by me. The TL:DR would be something like: There is no archeological evidence proving or disproving the events described in Exodus but historians generally regard it as a founding myth of the Jewish faith rather than a historical event.

EDIT2: To my knowledge there has never been a survey asking whether or not historians in general believe it to be factual or not and I don't see what the point would be of such a survey. There aren't that many experts on the area.
