I've been reading John Terraine's "To Win a War," which focuses on 1918 primarily on the Western front. It gives some attention to the AEF where needed, but I'd like a book that goes into great detail on the American forces. Terraine raises a lot of American shortcomings in terms of supply and tactics, so a book that addresses these larger areas as well as the battles themselves would be much appreciated.
Thanks for any recommendations!
“The World Remade: America In World War I” by G.J. Meyer is a fantastic book on this subject. Not only does it discuss the AEF, but it also goes into great detail about the country as a whole during 1917-1918.
