There are a variety of jobs that someone with a degree in History could get. Becoming an author is always a good option, especially if you adore certain time periods and find you could write at great lengths on it. It also allows you to work from home, which is a benefit naturally.

You said that you weren’t interested in becoming a teacher, but if it’s the dealing with kids part you’re worried about, you could always work in a museum. Museums are always looking for more enthusiastic and knowledgeable people to guide tours and help interested visitors.

If you enjoy physical work, becoming an archaeologist might be a good option. Sitting at a desk all day sounds like torture to some people, but becoming an archaeologist would let you do field work while still working with history,

If you enjoy books and history (as I do), many libraries are looking for talented young people to work in them.

There are loads of jobs that history offers it’s students, it’s just finding the right job to the skills that you have and to what you enjoy. I’d recommend talking with your history teacher or with a jobs councillor to learn all the options available to you.
