Hi, I recently found a copy of Martin Gilbert's First World War, published in 1994, and I'm finding it very interesting.
I'd like to know if it still holds up after 25 years or if some of what he wrote is now considered wrong or faulty.

I am not as familiar with his works on WWI, but I know that his works on the Holocaust are still cited pretty frequently, I'd say he's certainly not a bad foundation for research. Certainly consult more recent works as well but he is still considered a solid historian.
