I recently went on a trip with a Jewish friend to India, and he nearly had a fit seeing the symbol painted on trucks, walls, Buddha statutes, so much so, that I have to prevent him from decrying India as a country of swastika loving parasites, and alter our holiday plans to visit temples and a museum to provide context on the symbols meaning, which is the symbol for prosperity.

Given that, any sources or reasons as to why the Nazi Party adopted the swastika as their symbol?
