So I'm watching Ken Burns' documentary of Prohibition on Netflix and they mention that one of the many causes that Frances Willard fought for in the 1880's aside from prohibition was raising the age of consent from TEN to 16!?
I was shocked that it was THAT low even then. So I guess if anyone has some insights as to how the age of consent progressed (or not) in the US, I'd love to know more
