Just about two years ago I began dwelling deep into “alternate history” and the idea that there may have been advanced civilisations tens of thousands of years ago. The most notorious and famous example is Atlantis, the mythical island civilisation which sunk into the ocean after a failed military campaign in which it tried to enslave the world. So a lot of these “theories” claim that the survivors of Atlantis settled amongst hunter gatherer people and “civilised” them and eventually these hunter gatherer groups evolved into civilisations such as the Mesopotamians, Sumerians and Ancient Egyptians.

Just recently I spoke to friend of mine and was explaining these “alternate theories” to him and he jokingly said “white people always want to take credit for everything”. It may have been a joke but I felt there was some truth there. After going home that day I snooped around the internet a little more and stumbled upon a clip from a documentary about the occult beliefs of the Nazis and Hitler, it turned out that Hitler and his followers where major proponents of Atlantis and that they believed the “Aryan” race originated from Atlantis, a great civilisation which reached levels of sophistication and advancement when the darker primitive human beings where still hunting animals with pointy sticks, Hitler believed that himself, the Nazis and the Germans where the direct descendants of the “Atlanteans” or “Aryans” which they believed made them superior over all other human beings.

I saw this in a small clip from a documentary but can anyone clarify this and perhaps shed more light and information on the topic. I would be grateful. Thank you for reading.
