Could you clarify this question? I was under the impression that there wasn't a large population of Arabs in the Levant prior to the Muslim conquests in the mid 7th century. Are you simply referring to that century or so between the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem and the beginning of the Islamic Golden Age?
