Try to google gothic clothing or gothic house. The results you get are not historical gothic style. What is common terminology people use in english for that time and style? Also why are there so many ranaisance fairs but so little gothic fairs? It seems to me that gothic is more medieval then renaisance. Is this just coincidence and btw nothing against renaisance fairs. In my country we seem to be more centred about gothic times probably because we were indipendant in gothic while we lost independence in renaisance this is reason why term gothic is more used here then it seems to be used in english to me.
My area of focus is actually this time period (1100's - 1200's). It is called 'gothic' because of the architecture in English. However, because this term has been reused for a few other things (including a modern subgroup), it obviously makes searching difficult.
Try searching instead with the century you're looking for, such as "twelfth century clothing" instead of "gothic clothing". You'll get results that are much closer to what I think you're searching for.
Alternatively, if you are looking for later fashions of clothing or architecture that were inspired by the Gothic period, try putting in "gothic revival". This will get you results largely focused on the Victorian Era (1830's - 1900's).
