I’m mostly curious about meals eaten at home - did families tend to eat the same thing every day, or was it more varied like we are now? Did they each 3 meals a day or was it different?
This a pretty broad question - geographically and chronologically. Do you have a more specific interest in say, American farmers, urban diets for middle-class Europeans, etc.? These details about time, place and class are important because without it the only honest answer to the question is: food, assuming they could get their hands on it.
And that is not a helpful answer for you or anyone else on the subreddit.
