I made a posting on r/AskReddit earlier today here on conspiracy theories, and I discussed the thought that Adolf Hitler could escaped to Argentina and didn't commit suicide in 1945 as has been maintained.

I tried searching some older r/AskHistorian threads, and all of them are very insistent that his alleged escape was absolutely impossible. That may well be, and as I said in my r/AskReddit comment my first exposure to this theory was from the History Channel documentary Hunting Hitler. I am the first to acknowledge that the History Channel is not the best source.

Yet, nonetheless, there are a lot of unanswered questions. Why were there bunkers found in Argentina? What role did the Eichorn family play in this? It is known that they owned a lot of land in Argentina and they did personally know Hitler before the war, and they did harbor other Nazi officials afterwards. Why are workers who apparently worked at these estates and hotels in Argentina now saying they met Hitler in the late 1940s/early 1950s?

I appreciate any insight. I am confused and want some answers on a lot of confusing questions. Thank you
