My great grandmother allegedly came over on the "Thingvalla," which she claimed hit an iceberg and was rescued by another ship. Trying to find information on this.

I can only find one reference to anything like this, located here:

which discusses a collision between the Thingvalla and the Geiser in 1888 which resulted in a rescue. My great grandmother was born in 1904 and died in 2009, so that wouldn't be that one. She came over very young, but she apparently remembered it.

Basically, I'm trying to find the actual ship that she arrived on, and I'm trying to find a ship's manifest with her name or family name on it. Any direction I could look would be helpful. Thanks!

You might find it more productive to search your great grandmother's name (or her parents) on ancestry or family search to see if you can find the record of her ship's arrival. That would at least give you a year and ship that you can look up to try to verify her story. If you can't find that, some census records for her family should give an approximate year of immigration at the very least.
