Good evening, everybody. I'm looking for a book or a collection analyzing the american war of independence. I'm looking for something complete, military science almost, more inclined to narrating the navy building and battles, or army advances and retreats.
I apologize for any mispelling, English is not my first language.
Perhaps not exactly what you are looking for, but one I read and enjoyed is “With Zeal and with Bayonets Only” by Matthew Spring. It focuses on the tactics of the British Army in America, not so much on a narrative of the campaigns and battles (which I get the sense is what you’re really looking for), but it could be a start for you.
You can also post your question over at r/warcollege and you might find some folks with suggestions.
Best of luck!
