also why was Caesar so eager to let people like Brutus and Cicero retain their status and titles. I understand that killing them might have made him seem like a tyrant but he could have easily sent them off to some province and away from Rome.
Though, I am not a historian, I am, somewhat(very, lol) obsessed with Roman Republic, and eventually the Roman Empire.
