Reading up on the legislative bodies (in name) of the countries in the Soviet sphere of influence I wonder what a working day consisted of. I would be even more curious about the experience of politicians from the non-dominant party ie. The parties that "joined" the communists in fronts/blockparties but nominally still existed. The actual voting was predetermined, so it seems to be a sinecure.
I am a citizen of a Communist country in Asia, in my country the Gov all way say they are "From The People, For The People" But the true is there are no such thing like that, no right for vote (actually we had vote event, but those vote are useless) the member of Parliament doesn't have any voice (most of them don't even care about us), and our model born from Soviet so it's kinda similiar.
