I am about to build scale model of a m36 for a battle of the bulge themed group build and I wondered if this camo pattern was used during this period as it would make the vehicle more interesting than the single normal olive drab paint
I have been doing this long enough to know not to definitively say that something never happened. However, I cannot, for the life of me, recall any M36s in two-tone black/green in US Army service, in the Bulge or anywhere else. Indeed, about the only two-tone TD's I can think of were in the Med/NATO area, and, for some reason, one in the US. There were some M36s which had a two-tone green/whitewash scheme in the winter of '44/45, but if they were in the Bulge, I cannot say.
