Nobody can read all the questions and answers that are posted here, so in this thread we invite you to share anything you'd like to highlight from the last week - an interesting discussion, an informative answer, an insightful question that was overlooked, or anything else.
Greetings my fellow history lovers! We have a double digest this week to make up for my lack of input last time around. That means this is going to be a big UN so strap in, buckle up, and put your book list on hold. I’ve spent the better part of 8 hours off and on working on this. I’ve also been horrendously busy for the past two weeks, so I know there was plenty I missed. So hats off to all those contributors who I wasn’t able to see.
We start things off with a special feature! Last week saw Día de Muertos on AskHistorians! Ever wanted to sit down with a historical figure for a beer or coffee? Now's your chance! Many departed spirits crossed over to help answer questions. I started sorting them into their own threads, but that would be discrimination to treat the differently-alive like that. A great overlooked question from the very tail end of this week is one by u/InfectionPonch on the repercussions of the Tulsa massacre . No answers that have stuck, yet.
