I have always heard that once Nazi Germany lost the Battle of Britain, it became impossible for them to successfully invade.

However, the Royal Navy was the largest naval force in the world and I am wondering if the RN could have prevented a successful invasion by the Nazi's, even if Britain had lost the Battle of Britain?
