Good news! Yes we do! Let me introduce you to the Sunday Digest. The finest collection of history threads I curate! Not only that, but the week before was the largest in recent memory. Look at those beauties, hundreds of answers each week. There's also the twitter which showcases multiple of the best answers every day. Plus facebook, which despite my personal misgivings I hear is a pretty popular place to hang out!
The fundamental thing is this is a very special, very specific community that requires patience. We're askhistorians. We want quality, in depth history posts that are more then one line and a Wikipedia link. Posts like what we want take time to be written. So if you're coming to a thread because its highly upvoted, that means people are interested in the question. It also means that the expert capable of answering said question might have just seen it as well when the upvotes climb, or perhaps they're in the middle of writing the answer for it!
If you'd prefer shorter, lower quality posts or perhaps enjoy the one liners, jokes and Wikipedia links you're still in luck! There's literally hundreds of places elsewhere on the internet that cater exactly to that.
That's the beautiful thing about the internet. There's a place for everyone eh? And this community has some great taste in my opinion.
You got me there pal i'm checking it out
