Im considering buying a Ju52 scale model and im wondering if the plane ever encountered a D.H. Mosquito (which i already asembled) in a battle or in general. I would like to make it at least a bit realistic.
They did; I'm not sure about an exhaustive list but a quick flip through Aces High by Christopher Shores & Clive Williams reveals a few Ju 52 claims by Mosquito aces:
Bob Braham, flying a Mosquito VI with 613 Squadron, claimed a Ju52/3m on 24th March 1944
John Caine, flying a Mosquito VI with 418 Squadron, claimed 2 Ju52/3ms (fitted with minesweeping degaussing rings) on 14th April 1944
Don MacFayden, also flying a Mosquito VI with 418 Squadron, claimed a Ju52/3m on the evening of D-Day, 6th June 1944
418 and 613 Squadrons flew intruder missions, ranging over enemy territory, so would be more likely to encounter enemy transports than the more defensive night fighter units.
