Questions about rome and more importantly Julius Caesar.

So I'm looking for symbols/standards related to Julius Caesar these can be anything from standards his army carried to coins minted under him or something as simple as a family symbol. So please if anyone can help with this with preferably sources and at least depictions of said symbols.

I know about the coins, I hope it helps out a little.

The main symbols he used on this coins were the Elephant (due to his favored etymology of his name 'Caesar.' The story goes that one of his ancestors took down an elephant in combat, and Caesar is a derivation of the latin word for Elephant. This story is most likely not true). The elephant on the coins has a bit of a 'Michelin man' feel to it, and gives it a distinct look, so if you want to pick a single symbol, I'd probably go with that.

He also commonly included an image of the symbols of his position as Pontifex Maximus, which include a simpulum, aspergillum, and axe with wolf’s head at the top and apex.

Here is a link to a coin that has both of these, one on each side.
