In the short film titled "END OF WAR", about the final minutes before the armistice of ww1, from around 3:09 to 3:53, we see some allied soldiers attempting to storm a German Checkpoint, and do not turn back when warned.
Is it accurate that soldiers would attempt to storm an enemy checkpoint this close to the end of the war? How fast was the word spread of the Armistice?
