I’m attempting to write a creative document based off a prompt for Valentine’s Day in my AP English course. The prompt details response to a breakup, and I’m including mine to be QUITE dramatic. (Involving murder and such from the perspective of the non-deployed partner named Sam West. The letter is addressed to Alec Scofield if anyone was curious of the names) I’m having a lot of fun writing this but the lack of evidence to use in my story as a sort of idea giver is a little disappointing. I want to make a letter styled book out of it someday. Thanks for any replies.
As this is a school project, I won't give you too much, but I will point you in the direction of The Sexual History of the World War, by Magnus Hirschfield. You'll be able to find it on Archive.org and similar as it is quite old, but it includes a lot of material regarding sexuality and the war, and certainly includes coverage of same-sex attraction and sexual interaction.
