Nowdays we use amphetamine, methamphetamine or other stimulant based drugs to treat ADHD.
So did soldiers with ADHD who were issued with stimulants just pretend they were stimulated because of peer pressure or just reported that drugs weren't working?

To say that people with ADHD "were blissful that they could think" implies they can't think unless medicated.
