This may or may not be history-related (depends on the answer, I suppose). I just saw this chart someone tweeted, charting how different each country is culturally from the US. Egypt and Yemen are the two most different from us. Anyone know why? I would have thought the asian collectivist cultures or Iraq/Iran/palestine would be the most different.

Hi there! While your question doesn't break any rules per se, be aware that as currently phrased it is highly unlikely to get a satisfactory response. What you are asking for is an unbounded, three-way comparative history between three (very) separate states - not only is any given user unlikely to have particular expertise in the histories of two of these states, any one of these might be a book in its own right:

Simply put, asking more focused questions that don't ask for direct comparisons are more likely to succeed. You are welcome to ask more than one such question if you wish.
