Did Europeans call the Ottomans already “Turks” or simply Ottomans? (Got the question while watching the Netflix show “The Ottomans”)

Ottoman real dynasty name is :" Devlet- Aliye" (great state) and Ottomans name comes from founder (osman)and Turk name both used frequently. But word of Turk used in very early ages. Because Turks were known by western in very early ages. Such as Byzantine 6 century celestial Turks relations. Magyar-turkic times( crown of hungary send by byzantine inscription says : ruler of the Turks ) , bulgar times , perchengs. And many other turkics dynasties gives in history before Ottomans a Turk, turci ,turcia by the western.

Ottoman call them self Turk but they frequently used the Clan name which is Oghuz(Arrow people)from legendary forfather of Oghuz khan. And ruler of the Ottomans were KaYI (IYI= seal) clans. Seljuks were oghuz of Kinik clans.
