Traditional Fascism died at the end of the war and openly calling a movement a ‘fascist’ party would have condemned you from the start. This is not to say fascism no longer exists or can exist in a neo fascist form.

The movement was reborn in the 80’s/90’s with movements like the national front in the U.K. They would never openly state their fascism as the word is such a taboo, but behind closed doors I don’t doubt would have loved to call themselves fascists.

In short, Fascism evolved to the point where it was very hard to see openly. Of course elements of the rhetoric and policy remained in many far right parties but you could not call them fascist in the traditional sense.
