I'm hoping to learn more about the Irish War of Independence and the subsequent Civil War. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations regarding these topics. I'd probably want to read about the war of independence first and then about the civil war, but books covering one or both topics would be greatly appreciated.
The atlas of the Irish revolution is a fantastic book with articles on key events, periods and people by multiple authors. It covers Ireland in the 19th century for context, and really deep dives into everything to do with the period.
Be warned; it weighs 10 kilos
