Hi! So ive started to really get in to Julius Ceasars Life, and now i feel like i want to know everything. Anyone wanna help on were to start? I was thinking about reading some of his books, but i dont know where to start Ive watch a whole lot of youtube about him. and a few documentarys about him, but its all the same. Anyone wanna help me?
Why don't you start with a broad survey of the topic. The "companion" books are usually a great place to start. For instance, the volume edited by Miriam Griffin, A Companion to Julius Caesar (Blackwell 2009). The name sounds juvenile (and I secretly hate that name), but the scholarship in these types of series is typically top-notch. If you belong to a university, you can probably get this book online through your library or an actual copy via inter-library loan.
