Well American revolvers were more common, particularly early on with revolvers popularised in the united states they were more likely to move in the other direction. That said the British Beaumont–Adams revolvers would be one of the more popular series of European revolvers to be found in the United states although many found there might have been produced under license in the US based on the British design during the American Civil War. Similarly a smaller number of British Tranter revolvers were privately purchased, usually by Confederate Cavalrymen, and brought into the US. Some of both weapons could be found in the west, if overshadowed by manufactures like Colt, with the Adams being popular with some for its double action design and high calibre.
