I'd say that the Soviet-style of communal apartments, clothing, a little worn down city of Moscow are well portrayed. But the one thing that is missing is the criticism for the system. But that was generally not an option, you find the criticism in obstacles and little absurd things that you find hidden inside the films of those times.
