Curious if anyone has any idea how homosexuality was viewed, not on an official level, but more on a personal level. ie; if a soldier was suspected of being gay, or largely known to be in an “ask don’t tell” situational, what would their experience been like/how severe were the repercussions if discovered?
Also on the hunt for any first hand accounts from berlin brigade soldiers (especially British) from the years around 1989-1994! All I’ve managed to find it this documentary
