It is often discussed how the black death contributed to the ending of serfdom in western Europe. How the remaining peasants could fight for higher wages and saw increased standards of life.
However I've wondered if the plague had similar impacts in Asia. Was the death toll as horrendous as in Europe? And if so was it as impactful as it was for western history?
