After years of loyalty, I left my prior employer for our direct competitor due to a series of accusations from former co-workers about my work ethic, seeing peers below me get promoted ahead of me as well as being given a series of what I felt were dead end tasks. I only did so in order to support my family and to work for someone who appreciated my talents. After I made the jump, I provided my new employer with some inside info that ended up being useless anyways. AITA?

If Yes, then YTA. I don't know care what your excuses/reasons are, that's just cowardice. Your head should be on a pike.
If No, then NTA, as that's just normal way of life. I hope you also brought your army and castle with you to your new employer's side. Your old employer should be trying to buy you back.

The fact that your first solution to the problem was jumping ship and leaking trade secrets suggests that your motivation was to get back at your bosses rather than actually solve the dispute. Did you ever try and confront your coworkers or bosses about their accusations? Did you ever consider that there were circumstances in the others' promotions that you weren't aware about? Did you ever try and let anyone else know that you felt like you were being passed over?
Not to mention how even though it ended up not being of much use, leaking insider info no doubt has some pretty serious legal repercussions associated with it, especially if it was under some kind of NDA or confidentiality clause. Since it seems like you burnt all the bridges with your old company, you should probably skip town if they ever find out about it.
