I [M, almost 50] left my respectable job as a school teacher to follow the call of my beknighted prince, whose birthright was so cruelly taken from him, and rise in rebellion against the Hanoverian Pretender. Though my status was recognized and I became the Prince's own tutor, our plans came to ruin. He was forced to leave Scotland at great personal risk and now travels to the courts of Europe, incognito, in search of succor and support for our cause. My own land has now been stolen from me and my wife and child live homeless in the hills. I, on the other hand, have been awarded a sum of money to publish a book of my poetry calling the clans to rebellion. Now is the time.
