Hi, I’d like to know about documentaries you’d recommend on the origins of the Dutch Golden Age. I’m particularly interested in the exceptional state of the contemporary society with a consumer culture, companies, and other developments that resulted in the Northern European replacement of the Mediterranean centered trade, and eventually the birth of capitalism. Other than documentaries, I’d be very glad to have articles/posts to read on that issue.
