Need help with German history post 1848 Prussian revolution

by Oh_well_sure

Hi Guys, im studying history and im very confused at the moment, im trying to wrap my head around the events that happened after the failed 1848 revolution, afaik the Prussian monarch issued a parliament with two chambers? Was this what they call the 'Landtag'? and than after the 1867 North german confederation what exactly happened to this? Did this turn into what we call the 'Reichtstag' ? How does Bismarck come into play in all this ? And what happens to the reichtstag in 1871 with the second german empire?

Im so confused with the terms Landtag and Reichtstag , please send help...
