Book recommendations from Soviet soldiers during WW2?

Been on a binge of WW2 books such as With The Old Breed, Helmet for My Pillow, No Surrender, and The Forgotten Soldier.

Does anyone know any good examples from the Soviet side?

Yes! I have a plethora of recommendations for you!

  1. Russia at War by Alexander Werth - My top recommendation it is considered one of, if not the best books on the subject. Werth was in Russia during the whole year serving as a reporter.
  2. Ivan's War - Catherine Merridale - Very excellent book about the average Russian soldier's experience.
  3. Absolute War - Chris Bellamy - Very enjoyable and very easy to read.
  4. Russia's War- Richard Overy - Once again another great read from one of Britain's top scholars on the subject.
  5. Marshal of Victory - Georgy Zhukov - The autobiography of Russia's top General during the war.
