sources about the Inca

I've been trying to research the Inca and all i can find is stuff about the spanish conquest and secondary/tertiary sources. I'm specifically looking for governmental structure and what the lower class's daily life was like, but anything generally good is nice too.

I have The Incas and Their Ancestors: The Archaeology of Peru by Michael E Moseley which is thorough and covers a lot of topic areas including statecraft, society, social differences between different geographical regions, and so on. It's quite academic in tone. I believe I got it from Amazon, second hand.
