I read this paragraph in Wikipedia and I am confused about it:
"Western women of the 14th century sometimes sported pierced as well as rouged nipples left visible by the low-cut dresses fashionable in the day."
You may be interested in my answer to Whats the history of sexual peircings? Nipple piercings, clit/labia piercings, stuff like that. It deals with the myth that Queen Isabeau of Bavaria wore extremely low-cut gowns that bared pierced nipples, which is almost definitely where the statement on Wikipedia comes from.
